I am fascinated by the natural landscape in and around Aptos, California. This is my neighborhood. I live in this area. I have photographed this semi-untamed landscape. I am drawn to landscapes that are random and almost lacking in design. I want the viewers to feel like they are walking in the middle of the landscape or are being prevented from passing. I am interested in this landscape because it is partially natural and partially man-made. It is the unification of the two in harmony and discord that intrigues me.
